No Shalom Yet!

So, I did not reach my goal for getting alot (or any) of the progress done on my Shalom sweater.
Oh well.
Shalom Progress

But I have to say its all my new projects fault! I found some yarn that I am not sure what it is. It's thicker/sturdier than a typical acrylic skein, but it looks like it should be an acrylic.
Go figure.
Anyways, I wanted to get it on some needles so I started another Idiot Dishcloth blanket.  This is one of my favorite patterns, perfect for a beginner and perfect for some no brain knitting!

To make a dishcloth:
CO 4.
K 2, YO, K to end.
Repeat until 45 stitches on needle.
K1, K2TOG, YO, K2TOG, K to end.
Repeat until 4 stitches remain.
BO 4.

To make a blanket:
Follow dishcloth pattern until you have about 150 stitches.
Depending on your yarn, needle size and tension you may want/need more or less.
Then decease back down to 4 stitches.
(pictures of my current blanket will follow!)

  1. The Shalom is looking great! Can't wait to see it finished. I ended up giving mine to my sister.
