Thanks for sharing.
If you have a part...Great tip! Thanks for sharing.

If you have a particularly juicy onion it works better to freeze the pieces on a cookie sheet and then put them into bags to store in the freezer. When you go to use them later, they won't be frozen into one clump.

BTW don't get crazy and try to use your food processor to chop a bunch of onions. Unless you know something I don't (and want to post about it), you'll create onion puree which is NOT all that great.Julie {BuildSewReap}https://www.blogger.com/profile/08035505244057861379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589989548988358338.post-72497869847162476132011-11-05T16:55:29.473-04:002011-11-05T16:55:29.473-04:00Brillian, thanks ;)Brillian, thanks ;)Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13884620039283121412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589989548988358338.post-15458862523078491792011-11-04T22:25:04.049-04:002011-11-04T22:25:04.049-04:00I've been freezing onions for quite a long tim...I've been freezing onions for quite a long time. They are especially good when making stews and such. I do not like to let anything go to waste.
Last year I learned that I could freeze tomatoes by doing nothing by chopping them. I had no idea. But they are great in sloppy joes, stews, goulosh etc out of the freezer.
p.s. I host a Frugal Friday linky on my blog each week. If you have time, I would love it if you would link this, or other posts like it.Marsha Cooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395167873213686382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589989548988358338.post-56487693414937061642011-11-04T21:57:48.840-04:002011-11-04T21:57:48.840-04:00I didn't know you could do that! But I do free...I didn't know you could do that! But I do freeze basil, cilantro and things like that. You can also buy frozen cubes of those at Trader Joe's which is really convenient.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12864409955864362638noreply@blogger.com
